If you follow my Insta-Stories then you haven seen me post several times about collagen recently. Since I had SO many of you ask my opinion on it, I decided to write a post. I have been such a fan of the benefits of collagen for several years. I used to make my own bone broth once a week and would drink a cup of it every morning. There are many benefits to collagen that most of us already know like skin, hair and nails, but collagen is also SO good for joint and gut health.
Just recently I started seeing Vital Proteins everywhere and was SO excited to try it! I have been trying out two different kinds for a couple of weeks now and I LOVE IT! For one, I don’t have to spend the time and effort making bone broth anymore. It is so easy to add to your daily routine.
Comes in a powder form. I have the individual packets and love it. This one has no flavor! The first time I tried it I just added it to cold water, mixed it up and drank it. Super easy to drink, didn’t add any flavor to the water and it mixed well. Since then I have been adding it to my coffee in the mornings. It doesn’t change the flavor of my coffee at all, but I am getting all of the benefits of collagen in my morning cup.
This one also comes in a powder form. It is flavored. I tried it in my coffee, but to be honest it did not mix very well. I have been adding it to my smoothie bowls in the afternoons and I LOVE IT! Ben has been stealing it….so I think he is also a fan.
This collagen is made from one organic ingredient but packed with benefits! They offer it in powder form and pill form. If you stay away from beef, they also have a fish based collagen powder. If you need more greens and veggies, they have a powder for that. AND they have protein powder! Everything is Whole30 approved and Paleo!! How awesome is that?!
